UT Instapoll help
FAQ: How do I view a poll and its results, and show those results to my students?
FAQ: How can I show which answers to a poll were the most common ones?
Once a poll has been sent, a window will pop up showing the poll. You can also show this window manually by clicking the "View Poll + Results" button next to the poll. At the bottom of this window is a section labeled "Student Responses", along with a count of how many responses have been received so far. (That count updates every few seconds.)
By default, the number of responses is the only thing that is shown. If you'd like more detail (for yourself or to show to your students), the buttons below "Student Responses" let you show the answers individually or in aggregate. The buttons available depend on the type of poll.
- Multiple Choice polls will let you show the number of students who have chosen each choice, in the form of a table, bar graph, or pie chart. If the poll is complete, you'll also see which answer(s) were the correct ones.
- Text Entry polls will let you show students' text responses in tabular form. Students' names are hidden. You can also display students' responses as a word cloud.
