UT Instapoll help

FAQ: How do I make sure students are taking polls in class?

UT Instapoll supports two common strategies to make sure students are present in the classroom.

  1. When you create a poll, you can click a checkbox that says "Show prompt on student devices?". (This checkbox is unchecked by default, but you can change that in the Poll Defaults tab if you want). This checkbox controls whether or not the prompt - the question you're asking - shows up on student's computers or phones. It always shows up for the teacher, who can project the prompt to the class via the in-class A/V system.

  2. One type of poll is an 'Attendance' poll. Attendance polls ask students to certify that they are present and following your class's attendance policy.
