UT Instapoll help

FAQ: How long do students have to answer a poll?

When you create a poll, one of the things you specify is a "Poll Runtime", which is 60 seconds by default. Students have this long to answer a poll after you send it. Both students and teachers will see a ticking countdown clock on the poll showing the time remaining.

You can click the "Disable Timer" button to hide the countdown clock. The poll will still automatically end seven days after it was sent, but no timer will be visible. The "Disable Timer" button is available when you are creating or editing a poll, but it's also available in the window that appears when you send a poll (in case you decide during class that you need more time than you planned).

The default poll runtime is 60 seconds. If you prefer a different default value, you can set that using the "Poll Defaults" tab. Changing the default poll runtime will not change polls that already exist, only newly-created ones.
